In the 2011 Black Entertainment Television Awards, R&B singer Chris Brown became the big winner after it has won four awards in the ceremony.

The event was held in Los Angeles and was attended by big artists in the music industry.

Chris brings home the prize as the viewer’s choice award, video of the year award and the best Male R&B artist. He also got the best collaboration prize together with Lil Wayne and Busta Rhymes.

The BET awards started in the year 2001 and were then made as a yearly event to recognize the contribution and achievements of the African Americans in the music industry.

During the awarding ceremony an error happened after the viewers choice award was first given to the Rihanna and not to Chris Brown which was accepted by Canadian Rapper Drake on behalf of the female artist.

It was instantly corrected by the organizers of the event and explained that the problem occurred in the new tablet device being used in proclaiming the winner instead of a traditional envelop.

In the acceptance speech of brown, he said that he is thankful of all the blessing that he has received throughout his career in the music industry including his new album which was released last March.

Aside from Chris, winners in the event are Tinie Tempah and Rihanna who got the prize of International Act, Kanye West and Nicki Minaj as the Best Female R&B artist, they were also recognized as best female and male hip hop artist.
