US Writer-Producer-Director Leonard Stern Dies at 87

Leonard Stern, famous for being an Emmy and Golden Globe award winner dies at 87 due to heart failure in a hospital situated in Los Angeles, California on Tuesday.

Ster gained popularity in his own chosen endeavour since in the early part of his life. He is recognized as one of the best writers way back 1950s for the sitcoms known to be The Phil Silvers Show.

Earlier in the 1960s, Stern who works as writer, producer and director at the same time headed the production of Get Smart known to be a spy satire. Later in the 1970s, a progression was seen through the crime drama he had produced starred by Susan Saint James along with Rock Hudson. The crime drama was entitled McMillan and Wife.

Many credits have been given to recognize the efforts of Stern. The Jazz Singer is one of his works that gained a title for the most admired screenplays. This happened way back 1952. Danny Thomas was able to keep an important role for this project.

Later on, the Just You and Me, Kid came out as another film that was written by Stern. For this, the one who took an important part was George Burns together with the young Brooke Shields.

Moving amidst 1980s, Stern again had written and produced an action thriller entitled Target with Gene Hackman as an important character while Arthur Penn being the director.

In his entire Hollywood career, in the entertainment industry being a writer -producer-director, Stern took a significant part countef for more than 23 sitcoms. He was as well a co-creator of Mad Libs known to be a popular word game.

For 55 long years, his wife Gloria Stroock was able to share memories with him as they build their family. Their love as a couple brought them children known as Michael and Kate Stern. Currently, they already have two grandchildren and one great-granddaughter as well.

The funeral services arranged at Mt. Sinai will be dedicated for Leonard Stern that is set on Friday.
