Internet and Technology is getting progressive as well as dangerous this past years.

Technology oriented people as well as hackers are fearless to launch intrusion, may it be on small to big networks owned by large corporation like Sony Corporation. They attack both the public and private firms if they are interested to the information they store, the recent ‘almost intrusion’ is eyeing Lockheed Martin, the world’s biggest aerospace company and the maker of F-16, F-22 and F-35 fighter jets as well as warships.

According to the reports from BBC, the attack took place last week however, the attack was not successfully done because it was detected right way, therefore immediate action and tightened security was established.

Lockheed Martin is the creator and supplier worldwide of fighter jets, warships, and other weapons costing millions.

Currently, in a statement from Pentagon, they had said that they are looking on to determine the extent of the attack. And it was further said that Lockheed Martin’s system is definitely remained secure: and no customer, program or employee personal data has been compromised.

To be specific, May 21 was the date when the almost intrusion in their system was detected, and immediately , counter-measure was imposed to protect their system.

Despite the urgent implementation of security counter-measure when the threat was detected, Lockheed is not yet sure if any data was taken and who might be the attackers. This is according to the reports published by Reuters. Further, in their report, Reuters had cited “person having direct knowledge” that it was not only Lockheed’s sensitive network that was broken, however, the attackers had also made the same to the other networks owned by other U.S defense contractors.

The intrusion was made possible via duplication of “SecurID” electronic keys. The said is specially created to prohibit intruders in entering the system.

However, as news continues to spread, no official statement was released for now by Lockheed Martin on the type of attack they had been through.
