The “Doomsday” is an apocalyptic event which is said to be the end of the world; and will happen on May 21 this year 2011 as foretold by an 89 years old Californian preacher.
This preacher is Harold Camping, a former civil engineer who has preached confidently to his followers and aired via Family Radio Network, a religious based broadcasting organization funded by means of his follower’s donation.
Camping’s message about “Second Coming of the Lord” had caused a global alarm spread through the internet and other media sources. He claimed that there will be of at least 2% who will be rapture (‘caught up to heaven’ in Biblical term) from the world’s population and the rest will suffer the wrath of God to be poured out upon the face of the earth.
Camping even proclaimed that the “Day of Judgment” is fast approaching, and more than 2,000 billboards with slogan that reads “Blow the trumpet, warn the people!” can be seen across the United States.
“We are not talking about a ball game, or a marriage, or graduation. We’re talking about the end of the world, a matter of being eternally dead, or eternally alive”, Camping said.
His argument had convinced Adam Larsen to quit its job and follow the campaign proclaiming the apocalypse to take place very soon. Larsen said that he gave up his job because campaigning for Camping’s prediction is far more important.
Meanwhile, the Mayans, who best known of their accurate astrological method of prediction using stones and their traditional belief of sacrificing virgins also have their predictions based on their long count calendar. They claimed that the Earth will end on December 21, 2012.
Based on their studies, they were able to calculate the length of the lunar moon and came up with the result based on their equation as 329.53020 days.
The Nibiru collision on the other hand, is a disastrous encounter between the planet Earth and other planetary object in the solar system which will soon take place.
If you consider that the 21st of May 2011 will be the “end of the world”, there will be a short period of time left before the m(–foul word(s) removed–) destruction to take place.
