May 21st Doomsday or the Judgment Day – Apocalypse Prediction

May 21, 2011 Doomsday or Judgement Day

May 21st is remarkably the month where many Christian denomination are predicting about the Judgment Day. Prediction on the return of Jesus Christ is not new to us, when in fact for several years many Christian believers predict the 2nd coming of Jesus Christ. But their prediction was a mess. Jesus Christ did not return on the date they predicted.

The Facts about Second Coming

If you are a Christian, I bet you believed on the second coming of Jesus Christ or known to most of us as the “Rapture”. Here’s the following p(–foul word(s) removed–)age for the second coming of Jesus Christ:

“But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will p(–foul word(s) removed–) away with a rushing noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat. And the earth and the works in it will be burned up.” 2 Peter 3:10 Modern King James Version.

The Bible said clearly in 2 Peter 3:10 that Jesus Christ will return like a thief in the night. But Harold Camping, president of Family Radio believes that the second coming will be on May 21, 2001. He clearly stated in his website at this page “FACTS about May 21, 2011” that the belief of most Christian that Jesus will come as a thief in the night is not true, because he said that God revealed his secret as quoting from his website “Surely the LORD GOD will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.”

A question like “What if May 21 ends and nothing occurs?” is also being answered in his website as “The Biblical evidence is too overwhelming and specific to be wrong. Christ’s people can look with great confidence to this date because God promises His “beloved” He will not come upon them as a thief in the night.”

He is so certain that there is really a Rapture on May 21, 2011. But again, on September 1994 he also predicted that the Rapture will occur on this date. Furthermore, he backs up his false prediction stating from his website:

“Important subsequent biblical information was not yet known, so this book was incomplete. Mr. Camping warned there may be something he overlooked therefore the question mark was prominently placed on the title.

Mr. Camping wrote on pages 494 and 495 of the book 1994? he believed 2011 was the most probable year of Christ’s second coming.”

What Happen After May 21, 2011?

The question rather is what will happen to Harold Camping and his followers after May 21, 2011 when there is no Rapture occur?

I’m afraid that his followers will not believe him anymore and the worst case when his followers will lost their faith in Jesus Christ because of the false prediction.

Surely, there will be a second coming of Jesus Christ but the fact is that we cannot predict the exact date, isn’t it?

For Christian Believers

It’s so distracting if you heard this prediction and have a little faith about what you stand. Certainly there will be some false prophet before the second coming. And this is stated in Matthew 24 when Jesus himself explains this to his disciples about the signs of the End of the Age.

Jesus said on Matthew 24:4 “And Jesus answered and said to them, Take heed that no man deceive you.”  MKJV

In NIV version it says: “Watch out that no-one deceives you”. Watch out because the deceiver pretends that they are also a Christian. Simply means that a deceiver must pretend he is. How can a non-believer deceives you if he is not part of Christianity? He must pretend first so you will believe that what you believed is the same or you are in one accord.
