Miami Heat Vs. Chicago Bulls: Eastern Conference Finals Preview

Bulls Vs. Heat Analysis
Derrick Rose Against LeBron James

The Chicago Bulls had successfully entered the Finals of the NBA Eastern Conference and will be facing a tough challenge against The Big Three tandem of Miami Heat. NBA MVP Derrick Rose led the Bulls to the Eastern Conference Championship after beating their rival the Atlanta Hawks at Game 6. They closed the semi-final series via 93-73 victory over Atlanta Hawks.

Chicago Bulls will be going to the NBA Eastern Conference Finals for the first time since the Michael Jordan Era. It was in 1998 when the Windy City had made it to the Finals which was Michael Jordan’s last year as a Bull. The Chicago Bulls eventually became NBA World Champion by beating Utah Jazz 4-2. It was Michael Jordan’s last championship ring and MVP trophy.

We will be making a head-to-head match-up preview for the upcoming game between two of the most historical team in NBA History:

Chicago Bulls Advantages:

  1. Bulls were considered as the best defensive team during the regular season.
  2. Bulls stronger collection of reserves.
  3. Bulls home court advantage with a score of 36-5 during the regular season.
  4. Chicago Bulls defeated the Heat 3-0 in regular season.
  5. They got the League’s MVP and NBA’s Best Coach.

    Dwayne Wade and Derrick Rose

Miami Heat Advantages:

  1. Heat got three of NBA’s best players on the floor.
  2. Fresh from a solid performance against Boston Celtics.
  3. Improved their defense during the playoffs.
  4. They’ve got offensive flexibility that the Bulls were lacking of.
  5. Bench although overpowered by the Bulls statistics but got a key contributions when needed.
  6. Player’s Finals appearance with Wade and James leading their team.

The preceding analysis were just my personal observations between the Chicago Bulls and Miami Heat Series. Whatever the outcome of the game it depends upon their respective performance and consistency. On my own, I will favor the Heat to win against the Chicago Bulls, it was not because I am a fan of the Miami Heat and they got a Fil-Am coach but because of the following historical facts:

  1. NBA Teams with only one true play maker rarely win a series.
  2. Rookie coaches rarely made it to the Finals.
  3. A point guard as a leading scorer only made it once in every generation.
  4. Shooting guard performance is vital, no shooting guard made it to win the Finals with sub performing shooting guard.
  5. A team needs multiple stars to win the championship. Lone superstar was a rare one.

Whatever the outcome of the series between the Chicago Bulls and Miami Heat, one thing for sure, it will be an exciting one.
