
A devastating tornado hit six states in the US and left at least 44 people dead and hundred of establishment destroyed.
According to officials the said tornado was the worst ever to strike the country since 1984. It first started to hit in the Oklahoma last Thursday, followed with more than 100 tornadoes in Mississippi, Arkansas Alabama and North Carolina. The storm ended to strike Virginia on Saturday night April 16, 2011.
The tornado has left an unimaginable trail of destruction to six states which have wiped out large trees, turned down the power supply and carried away hundred of cars as if they were just toys and even washed away an entire camping site in North Carolina.
In an interview to spokeswoman of FEMA or federal Emergency Management Agency, Patty McQuillan she said that as of the record this is the worst storm ever that strike the US since the last one in 1984 which has killed 57 people and injured more than 1,000 citizens.
In the estimate damaged caused of the tornado, about 60 houses were destroyed in North California alone and 400 more damaged leaving thousands of people homeless and many houses don’t have a power supply.
Officials said that tornadoes that strike the states of US has very strong wind and carries a hail to the size of softballs which made it more disastrous when it strikes to the ground.
In the latest statement released by the officials, the total damaged caused by the tornado is still hard to predict while they are expecting that number of people who died in the catastrophe would rise as reports are coming in.
