The newly crown Binibining Pilipinas 2011 was Shamcey Supsup, an architecture board topnotcher and magna cum-laude graduate from the University of the Philippines Diliman, Quezon City. The native of General Santos City Philippinas bested 39 other candidates during the coronation night held at the Araneta Coliseum on Sunday, April 10, 2011.
Shamcey Supsup also garnered three other special awards. She was adjudged as Miss Cream Silk, Amb(–foul word(s) removed–)ador of Philippine Airlines, and Miss Talent. One of her favorite lines about beauty was “the standard of beauty is not definite we define it” said the newly crown Bb. Pilipinas Universe.
During the interview after the pageant Miss Shamcey Supsup was quoted as saying “I still can’t believe it. Parang panaginip. Kanina nung nag announce na sabi ko it’s God’s will. If it’s for you, it’s for you. You just have to believe it”. Shamcey will represent the country for the upcoming Miss Universe Pageant in Sao Paolo Brazil.
Meanwhile, the Binibining Pilipinas International title was awarded to Iriga City native Miss Dianne Necio. Binibining Pilipinas Tourism goes Isabella Manjon from Pasig City, Metro Manila. First Runner Up goes to Miss Janine Tugonon and Second Runner Up to Miss Mary Jean Lastimosa.
