According to the latest development the victims of the Baguio City plane crash were finally identified and confirmed by its immediate relatives. The two fatalities were already named by the Baguio City authorities.
The first fatality was identified as a certain Jose George Haranas who had died on the spot after the explosion of a six-seater Piper Aztec (PRC 5140). The other victim who had been declared dead was Grace Alvarez. She was proclaimed dead while undergoing treatment at Baguio Hospital and Medical Center at around 6:45 P.M. Sunday.
The other victims included Vanessa Cabiso (26), Ereneo Yabot (51), and the plane’s pilot Col. Reynaldo Garcia (50). According to the witnesses the first to rescue the said plane were pony boys who have immediately rushed to the wreckage.
The Light airplane departs from Loalkan Airport of Baguio City on the way to Plaridel, Bulacan. The flight took place at around 2:48 the time of take-off. Unfortunately it crashed landed at Camp John Hay, Baguio City.
The Light Plane with body number PA34-200 was owned was owned Techno Air. The heroism of the pony workers during the incident have saved the lives of the other p(–foul word(s) removed–)engers. Renee Gabuyog, a pony renter, said he immediately went to the crash site along with other colleagues and retrieved two women out of the wreck.
