
A new global report claims that premature deaths are now more likely to occur in adolescence and early adulthood than in childhood.
The study conducted by the lancet, based its findings from the data in 50 countries including the people who are rich, middle-income and poor – over 50 years.
It has suggests that living rates has degraded overall, death rates were now relatively higher in teenagers and young adults, than in young children.
Violence, suicide and road accidents are said to be the primary cause of deaths.

Dr. Russell Viner of University College London who led the study said that mortality rates among teenagers and young adults have not been drooping as fast as today. Most of the deaths in young men and women in real terms has been Violent. Suicide rates have also risen among young men.

“Modern life is much more toxic for teenagers and young people; we’ve had rises in road traffic accidents, rises in violence, and rises in suicide which we don’t see in young children” Dr. Russell said.
