The best way to study volcano activity is from inside and out, according to to Tadesco.

Tadesco and Sims hoped to gather much information and necessary data to help predict an eruption.

Fearless photographer Carsten Peter was there for the purpose of capturing incredible shots of their journey.

To obtain better information about the considered world’s most dangerous and active volcano, fearless volcanologists in the person of Dario Tedesco and Ken Sims went down inside the Nyiragongo volcano.

They decided to get inside the volcano in order to get a clearer picture and details about the unpredictable condition of the volcano.

Documenting their courageous and dangerous quest was photographers Carsten Peter.

Nyiragongo is located in the Republic of Congo. Volcanologists were finding better ways in order to record possible predictions for any threat of eruptions.

At the base of the volcano, the city of Goma was located and in that case, the people as well as concerned departments were looking forward of understanding more the recent activities inside the volcano.

Any volcanic activity might cause damage to property and lives of nearby places and molten lava might devastate Goma itself.

Carsten would be displaying some of his captured shots in their journey at the risky volcano in the official site of the National Geographic while the whole details of the journey and the study will be put into print and readers may take a bit of it on the April 2011 issue of the National Geographic Magazine.

The two scientist were hoping that by taking the risk of getting inside and close monitoring of volcanic activity, they can relay better information to the people.
