Mayweater set to fight Filipino boxing champ Manny Pacquiao in court

Despite the case filed by Boxing Champ Manny Pacquiao to Floyd Mayweather, the American boxer still wants to pursue their fight after a federal judge denied a motion to dismiss the case on Monday.

Floyd Mayweather together with his father Floyd senior, Uncle Roger and his promoter Oscar Dela Hoya have accused Manny Pacquaio a dope cheater and said that Manny is using a drug during his fights. In response to the accusation, Pacquiao filed a defamation lawsuit to Mayweather and his colleagues. The case is now being ruled by the U.S District Larry Hicks.

The side of Mayweather asked for a drug testing 14 days before the much awaited fight of the two, however, Pacquaio declined to do so and said that it would weaken him if he will be taken blood before the fight. Pacquiao already proven to the public that he is not taking any forms of performance enhancing drugs after he undergone some test and the result was negative.

According to Pacquiao’s side, such action being made by Floyd Mayweather and their team clearly shows that they are trying to ruin the reputation of Pacquiao to the public and jeopardize his ability to earn the highest level of compensation.

Atty. Mark Tratos, Mayweathers attorney said that they will continue to push that dismissal of the case while Pacquaio’s side are still holding to the belief that such accusation of Mayweaher would ruin Manny’s reputation as a boxer.

The fight of the two top boxers have been one of the most awaited match of the century however, because of what happened, the plan to face the two are still hanging.
