Four years ago, a retired FBI Agent named Robert Levinson was reported to have been missing in the Iranian island of Kish. But now, the US Department of State reported that he is alive.
Kish is said to be a free-trade country wherein Americans don’t need to have and present their visas for having a travel there.
Knowing that Mr. Levinson had gone for several years, the US feared that this 63-year-old private investigator already died thinking that he was also suffering from diabetes and high blood pressure.
In 1998, he was known to retire from the FBI. However, it was in March 2007 when Mr. Levinson was declared missing as he had been working as a private investigator on a cigarette smuggling case.
Predictions came out that he is just being held somewhere along the countries of South-East Asia based on the statement given by Hillary Clinton, Secretary of the State.
Clinton says that the government of Iran was requested by the United States to extend an act of doing humanitarian efforts to be able to safely return and reunite Bob with his family.
Just this Thursday, Christine Levinson, Robert’s wife, made a post on their family’s website saying that their family had been tremendously encouraged about the news that her husband Bob was alive.
She also expressed her deepest concern regarding his safety and well-being. The retired FBI agent’s family keeps on holding the hope that Robert Levinson, also known as Bob Levinson, is still alive.
Fortunately, it was just last year that the (–foul word(s) removed–)ociated Press news agency had a report that Bob’s family were given strong evidences regarding such issue that eventually made them more hopeful that Mr. Levinson still lives. But, correspondents have said that there had been no details of the evidence that were released for the reason that officials do not want to deter rescue efforts.
There is a greater hope that motivates a positive outcome for Mr. Levinson’s wife, Christine. As a matter of fact, she still waits for the event that she, along with her seven children and two grand children will become united once again in due time.
