WBC president Jose Sulaiman is asking Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao if he still would like to defend his WBC Super Welter Crown.

Michael Koncz the adviser of Pacquiao said that Pacman will no longer defend it. Koncz said that they have learned a lesson on fighting Antonio Margarito last November 13, 2010 on a 154 pound title.

Koncz stated that they are concerned with the safety of the Manny Pacquiao. Pacquiao will not fight anymore on that cl(–foul word(s) removed–) and will maintain on 147 lbs (welterweight).

Pacquiao will fight against Mosley on May 7, 2011 to defend the welterweight division which he has won from Cotto in 2009.

Koncz is about to send an email to WBC thanking how they appreciate the effort to reach Pacquiao and that Pacman wants to free the belt in favor of the next would-be boxer who would proudly wear it.
