Skipper of Indian cricket team has said that India is used-to playing games where they are under pressure and they have learned to tackle any great stipulation that may arise at any match of the cricket world cup -even let it be final of the World Cup. As a matter of fact, he expressed that it is now strength of India to perform under pressure and they really enjoy such scenario’s.
This sounds like a really good news for Indian cricket fans and such statements are making India as one of the favorite team for the World Cup 2011. Specially considering the fact that Asian teams play really well on Asian grounds, so making India and Sri Lanka as one of the favorite team for this year’s world cup. Not to mention the fact that the unpredictable Pakistani cricket team can also do wonders when they are least expected to do so, so it is certain now that this year’s world cup is gonna be real surprising one.
Anything can happen, seeing Australia inform as usual, England team is in Great form, Sri Lanka, India and unpredictable Pakistan, these are the favorite teams for this year’s World Cup, all we have to do is wait and watch what will happen at this time when World Cup is spiced up -alot before than it commences.
Anyways, MS Dhoni further said that in past 3 years they have learned to change the feeling of pressure in to the urge of quick responsibility. He said that cricket is the most anticipated sport in India and it is followed national-wide.
All Indian cricket fans have eyes on them and Dhoni states rather than taking it as a pressure he is taking this as a responsibility which he and his boys will look after with positive thinking, best planning, and strategic training.
Dhoni further expressed that he doesn’t care what the past of Indian team has been at the home grounds, he will just concentrate on the preparation and aim to do the best. He said that he doesn’t believe in prediction and what will or what will not happen, all he knows is that he has confidence in his team and they will give their best to this world cup.
India’s World Cup squad includes 7 sheer batsmen, 4 pace bowlers and 3 high quality spinners with just one wicket keeper (who is Captain himself, MS Dhoni). Dhoni expressed that they have to select the best players in the squad and it is really difficult duty to do so, there is always someone missed out but it is difficult to compress best players into just 15 players squad.
