243 HIV/AIDS cases were reportedly recorded in Cavite Province. HIV-AIDS incidents have increased in the province every year.
Cavite province was reportedly ranked as No.1 in terms of HIV/AIDS cases number. This was confirmed by the Department of Health (DOH).
Cavite province was recorded as No. 1 in the Region IV-A or the Calabarzon (Cavite-Laguna-Batangas-Rizal-Quezon) area and No. 2 in the country after National Capital Region.
According to a recent news report of Manila Bulletin, 243 HIV/AIDS cases recorded in Cavite province from January to June this year.
The PHO-HIV-AIDS Program Coordinator Haydelisa Maderazo, Confirmed the news by giving a report about the case.
She explained by citing the report from the DOH-National Epidemiology Center. Maderazo reported that 233 of those afflicted were males and 10 were females and that many of them are with ages ranging from 16 to 24 years old.
