Robin Padilla: ‘Shabu Is Being Cooked In Bilibid’
Actor Robin Padilla said in an interview that he saw shabu is being prepared inside the New Bilibid Prison (NBP) when he stayed there for three years for illegal possession of fire@rms.
In an interview video at ANC’s Headstart Program, Padilla said that the said illegal substance is being cooked at the maximum facility and with the knowledge of everyone there.
He added that he was surprised upon knowing that the “visitors” who were coming inside the correctional were actually illegal drug customers.
After the incident, Padilla said in the video that he reported it to the then NBP Director Vicente Vinarao who then told him to submit him a list of people involved. According to Padilla, this started the relationship of the two.
He said that there are a number of prison guards who have been dismissed or have been transferred to other prisons.
Another thing that Padilla revealed is that it is common that prisoners have their own fire@rms with them, and even he himself carries his own .45 caliber pisto1, too.
“Someone was even packing an Armalite while he was jogging. It’s dangerous if you don’t carry a gvn. When the prison shuts down for the day and the guards are gone, a riot could break out,” Padilla said.
According to him, he became an asset to the government to counter the illegal activities in the New Bilibid Prison. He also said that his efforts have resulted for him to be given with conditional pardon.
