The firstborn of Late Former President Ferdinand and Imelda Marcos is still hoping for the Tamang Panahon to hold the late patriarch’s burial at the Heroes’ Cemetery.
Ilocos Norte Governor Imee Marcos, the firstborn of late former Pres. Ferdinand Marcos and his wife Imelda, is still waiting for the Tamang Panahon to come for them to bury the late strongman at the Libingan ng mga Bayani (Heroes’ Cemetery).
Tamang Panahon is a Filipino phrase which can be loosely translated as “right or proper time”. In the case of the Marcos’ burial, it is the time when all minds meet and agree to lay the late dictator at the cemetery reserved for the Philippines’ heroes.

After asking for an apology for all the mistakes and violations committed by her father, Gov. Imee said that the whole Marcos family is still hoping for the Tamang Panahon to finally lay their father at the Libingan – not as a hero but as a former president.
She also said that what gives them hope as of now is the signature campaign, including the online solicitation of support, launched by the Marcos loyalists to bury their idol at the Heroes’ Cemetery.
