Just In: Senator Leila De Lima airs out her message to the President.
JUST IN – After being the headline since yesterday after the President named her as a senator who has an affair with her driver, Sen. Leila De Lima has spoken her side to a press conference.
In shaking voice, the Senator started with the recognition of the support of the people who reach out to her. She shared that since yesterday, there were really a lot who have sent her messages.
According to Sen. De Lima, there were those who advised her not to fight back while there are those who said that she should fight.
‘Hindi po ako lalaban, hindi ko po kayang labanan ang pangulo na unang-una hindi ko po alam kung anong kasalanan ko sa kanya,’ Sen. De Lima said.
The Senator also made emphasis that there could be nothing worse than what is being done to her now, ‘Sinisira nila ang aking dangal, nilalampastangan ang aking pagka babae.’
She also said that to destroy a reputation and a name are worse than taking someone’s life. ‘Words cannot express what I am feeling right now, I guess no one can,’ Sen. De Lima said.
I think it is becoming a “Soap Opera” now. Yes she is trying to defend herself through the Media. Well, if she is not guilty, just keep her mouth shot and get her lawyers to sue the President with Libel. Nothing had been done much on the previous administrations about drugs and now the new administration is doing everything to eliminate drug problems in our country and so many critics are coming out. Let us be united and support our new President in moving our Country Forward not Backward.
