Kapamilya actress and considered as one of the most promising star of her generation Liza Soberano was rumored to be part of the highly anticipated “Spider-Man: Homecoming” movie but the actress clarified the issue and denied the rumors during an interview with TV Patrol. The supposed starring-role of Liza Soberano in the Hollywood movie were just rumors and fans should forget about the idea of seeing the actress in the Spider-Man movie.
The 18-year-old Liza Soberano clarified the rumors by revealing that everything started on social media after news broke out on various Facebook Pages that she was supposedly auditioning for the role of Mary Jane Watson, the leading lady of Tony Parker in the blockbuster movie “Spider-Man.”
According to the Dolce Amore star there was no such audition for Spider-Man happened, but it was her fans who keeps on reporting that she is auditioning for the role. She also revealed that there’s even an online petition for her to be part of the movie.
Liza Soberano was quoted as saying in an interview with TV Patrol that there is no such audition and stated “I think that’s what the fans wanted lang,” Liza said. She also added that “I think one of them (fans) is Pinay. She tweeted na parang kung merong Mary Jane, she wanted that to be me,” she explained.
Right now Liza Soberano is very busy with her acting career especially in the top-rating TV series “Dolce Amore,” alongside on-screen partner Enrique Gil. During the past few days, the Liza Soberano-Enrique Gil love team admitted that they are almost like a real-life couple, however they are also waiting for the approval of Liza’s family to make it formal.
The movie Spider-Man: Homecoming will feature Tom Holland as Peter Parker/Spider-man, he was already featured in the movie “Captain America: Civil War” as Peter Parker. Aside from Tom Holland, director Jon Watts also announced that Robert Downey Jr. will reprise his role as Tony Stark or Captain America in the highly anticipated Spider-Man movie which is expected to hit theaters in July 7, 2017.
