Sen. Marcos has already filed his certificate of candidacy for Vice President in the 2016 elections, while Sen. Miriam Defensor-Santiago already declared his intentions to run for the highest position in the country after a failed 1992 presidential bid.

The throwback photo of Sen. Marcos with Sen. Santiago was posted by Sen. Marcos on his official Twitter account on Wednesday. The photo captured the two senators smiling while seated beside each other with the following captions: “Remembering our RH deliberations. #WayBackWednesday.”

The 58-year-old Sen. Bongbong Marcos’ post triggered speculations that the only son of the late dictator Ferdinand Marcos, will be the running mate of Sen. Miriam Defensor-Santiago in the 2016 national polls.

Although Sen. Santiago already declared his intentions to run for President, he refused to name her running mate but hinted that her partner have already filed his/her COC.

Right now there are six individuals who have declared their intent to run for Vice President, namely Senators Francis Escudero, Alan Peter Cayetano, Antonio Trillanes IV, Ferdinand Marcos Jr., Gregorio Honasan II and Camarines Sur Rep. Leni Robredo.

Three of those mentions above will for Vice President without a running mate, but in separate interviews both Sen. Cayetano and Trillanes denied being in talks with Sen. Santiago.
