Losing Bet Wants Sen. Grace Poe Unseated, to File Case Before CE

Sen. Grace Poe should be removed as senator.

This is what Lito David of Ang Kapatiran wanted as he attempted to file d apeittion before the Sneate Electoral Tribunal seeking to remove Poe from post.

Hoever, the trivubal did not acknowledge the quo warranto case saying David lacked the required P50, 000 filing fee.

David insisted that Poe is not qualified to become senator because she lacks the natural born citizen requirement due to her status as an orphan.

He also cited that the lady senator was allegedly one year short in the residency requirement for senators.

Poe, who topped the 2013 senatorial polls, earlier dismissed the issue saying she has already abandoned her dual citizenship when she ran for office.

The losing senatorial candidate in the 2013 elections also alleged Poe of assuming the top post at the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRC) while she was still a US citizen.

Vice President Jejomar Binay’s camps first raised the issue of Poe’s alleged lack of residency requirement after the latter shrugged off the offer of running as veep with him.

However, David said he is acting on his own against Poe.

He, meanwhile, urged Binay and Interiro Secretary Mar Roxas to add for the filing of the case against Poe, adding Poe falsified her certificate of candidacy.
