Taking “Selfies” is indeed a modern memento that could simply tell different stories with friends, family…and even pets!
Yes, with animals. Plenty of selfies have already featured a lot of owners’ or travelers’ photos with variety of animals, but how many have had their photo taken by an animal, by the elephant?
Earlier this year, a Canadian tourist found himself the subject of an extraordinary “elphie” on a Thai island.
On a CNN report, Christian LeBlanc, 22, shared his encounter with the incredible elephant as he, and his girlfriend, were exploring the island.
“My girlfriend and I were exploring the island when we came across a couple elephants…For 50 cents, you could buy a basket of bananas to feed them, so we decided to get one.”
LeBlanc was feeding the elephant but seemed his offer wasn’t enough.
“Next thing I knew, it grabbed my GoPro by the mount and I got the selfie of a lifetime, which I can’t take full credit for,” he said.
With LeBlanc’s GoPro set to shoot continuously, the elephant was able to set a good view with from its trunk.
“Elephants are incredibly intelligent, and it definitely makes you wonder if it was a conscious action,” he said.
LeBlanc added that despite the animal’s power, the elephant was relatively gentle.
“I got comfortable enough that I let my guard down and let it grab my GoPro.”
