Kapamilya actress Julia Barretto vehemently denied the issue that her mother, Marjorie, is having a rift or misunderstanding with sister Gretchen Barretto allegedly because of her aunt favoring fellow actress Liza Soberano. During earlier reports, Marjorie Barretto considers Liza as one of her daughter’s rival in the showbiz industry.
Julia Barretto shared her reactions with the rumored rivalry between her and “Forevermore” star Liza Soberano during a press conference for her upcoming 18th birthday celebration which will be held this coming March 10, 2015. The young actress stressed that there is no truth to the reports that her mother and Gretchen Barretto are having misunderstanding.
The 17-year-old actress was quoted as saying “Honestly, so far ito na talaga ‘yung pinaka-nakakatawang rumor na ginawa nila na dahilan bakit nag-away ‘yung pamilya ko. Sorry, napakababaw po talaga,” Barretto said.
“Ang dami-daming dapat pag-awayan, bakit ‘yun, ‘di ba? Sana may relevance man lang sa pamilya namin, sa mga pinagdaanan namin. Ang layo, hindi ba? Ang laki-laki ng problema tapos biglang (‘yun). Ano ba ‘yan? Wala na talagang magawa,” she added.
According to Julia Barretto she has nothing against Liza Soberano even if there are some netizens who believes that Liza Soberano has already surpassed Julia Barretto in terms of popularity despite the fact they were introduced during the same year through Star Magic.
Liza Soberano is currently enjoying some media mileage and coverage because of the huge success of her series “Forevermore” alongside actor Enrique Gil.
Julia Barretto also noted that she is not competing with “Oh My G!” star Janella Salvador, who also had a huge following not only for her latest series but also for the success of “Be Careful With My Heart.”
