Gilas Pilipinas vs. Croatia Half-Time Scores & Recap (Ph-31 vs. Croatia-37)

The Philippine national basketball team, Gilas Pilipinas is down by just six points at the end of First Half in the FIBA World Cup 2014 in Spain against powerhouse European team Croatia, the former silver medalist of the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona, Spain. The Philippines was able to score a total of 31 points against Croatia’s 27 points.

End of First Quarter

At the start of the first half both teams scored well but Croatia dominated the rest of the first quarter, Croatia scored a total of 23 points against Gilas’ nine points. Gilas Pilipinas rebounded in the second quarter scoring from outside shootings.

The Croatian national basketball team is bannered by NBA plyaers Bojan Bogdanovic and Damjan Rudez ang 7-foot-2 giant Ante Tomic. The team is ranked No. 16 based upon FIBA rankings, they finished fourth during the 2013 Euro Basket, the squad is also composed of a young team featuring players at their early 20’s with only one player at least 30 years old.
