A study conducted by the Association of Southeast Asian Nations DNA revealed that Filipinos are the second shortest race in the region according to height.
Based on the study reported by Inquirer.net, Indonesians landed as the shortest people in Southeast Asia followed by the Filipinos. The study states that Pinoy males and Vietnamese males have an average height of 162 cm.
The height of Filipino and Vietnamese males is 2 cm shorter than the Southeast Asian average height with 164 cm. and 2 cm taller than the males from Indonesia.
On the other hand, Filipino females have an average height of 150 cm which is 3 cm taller than Indonesian females but 3 cm shorter than Southeast Asian average height for females.
Vietnam’s average height for males stands at 162 cm. and 152 cm for females while Cambodia’s average height for males is 163 cm. and 152 cm for female.
Singaporeans are considered as the tallest in height among Southeast Asians with 171 cm. for males while females stands at 160 cm.
Thais are nearly identical to Singaporeans standing at 170 cm for males and 159 cm. for females in Thailand. Malaysians stands at 165 cm average height for males while 153 cm for female counterparts.
The study also shows that in global comparison, the average height for males is 173 cm. while females stands at 160 cm. Americans stands at 176 cm. for males and 162 cm. for females.
Dutch has been tagged as the tallest race with an average height of 184 cm. for males and 170 cm. mark for females.

lol i’m 183 cm (6’0) and pure filipino haha although i have a bit of dutch ancestry i’m not sure but i guess that’s why i’m taller than the average haha
even me,i’m 16 yrs old and i’am 6’3 and also pure filipino,i think its because some of my uncles on the mother-side is 5-11 and up although my father is only 5’6 and my mother is 5’5.
They should cull the population by removing short people. Then perhaps the next generations would be taller Filipinoes. They can then live happily ever after,
