Bantayan Mayor Chris Escario’s Plea for Help on Typhoon Yolanda’s Aftermath

The Mayor of the Municipality of Bantayan, in Bantayan Island, Cebu Province has sent out a plea for help following the destruction brought about by super Typhoon Yolanda that hit the paradise island of Bantayan and it’s nearby towns and islets.

According to Mayor Escario of Bantayan, the largest municipality and capital of Bantayan island, his constituents needs serious help. He was quoted as saying on Facebook that, “The problems we face are overwhelming but not insurmountable,” he said via Facebook.

Mayor Chris Escario, the member of the political clan that dominates Bantayan, added further that, “We need all the help you can extend us.” he said on Facebook.

The cash donations for Bantayan can be made to The Municipality of Bantayan-Trust (Current Account) No. 00142-0199-73 at the Land Bank of the Philippines. For deposits from outside the the Philippines, the Swift Code is TLBPPHMM.
