San Mig Coffee Defeated Petron in Game Two of the PBA Governor’s Cup

The San Mig Coffee Mixers defeated the Petron Blaze Boosters in Game Two of the PLDT Telpad Governor’s Cup Finals with the final score at 100-93 and avenged their Game One loss at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum on Sunday, October 13, 2013.

Best import awardee Marqus Blakely led the Coffee Mixers in offensive output scoring with 23 points, adding 16 rebounds, dishing out six (–foul word(s) removed–)ists and stole the ball four times. He was well-supported by former PBA MVP James Yap who contributed with 17 points and eight rebounds.

The Mixers double-digit lead was put at stake in the final few seconds of the game as the Boosters scored a back-to-back three pointers courtesy of Marcio L(–foul word(s) removed–)iter and Ronald Tubid.

The Petron Blaze Boosters suffered a huge lost after their import Elijah Millsap was fouled out and their most dominant center, rookie June Mar Fajardo was also fouled out at the last few minutes of the game. Aside from Millsap and Fajardo all star player Arwin Santos was also fouled out in Game Two of the Governor’s Cup Finals.

San Mig Coffee proved that they had the championship experience after they hit a steady free throw performance to finally put the game away in favor of them and tied the series at two-apiece. Petron’s import Elijah Millsap led his team with 31 points while their number one point guard Cabagnot added with 22 points, rookie center Fajardo has 16 points for the Boosters.
