Coco Martin, the star of “Juan de la Cruz” denied the rumors that he was secretly married after speculations about his supposed civil status was first posted in a tabloid report which was reflected in his p(–foul word(s) removed–)port.
The 31-year-old former Indie film actor denied the reports on Friday that he was secretly married to a non-showbiz partner in Canada, and according to rumors he also own a Canadian p(–foul word(s) removed–)port.
The actor made the denial during the sidelines of the Yahoo! OMG! Awards held on Friday, where he won as Actor of the Year. Coco Martin was even quoted as saying that, “Actually, marami nga nagsabi sa akin niyan, kaso sabi ko, ‘Hindi naman ako umaalis!’ Saan naman nila nakuha ‘yun? Eh, ngayon wala kaming [pag-alis papuntang ibang bansa] dahil lagi kaming nagte-taping,” Martin told the reporters.
According to rumors, Coco Martin’s supposed wedding happened before he achieved mainstream success. Coco clarifies that he has been staying in the Philippines even during the time when he was still with the independent films.
The phenomenal actor mused that the speculations may have stemmed from his being single, despite being linked to numerous female personalities. He was previously linked to Sarah Geronimo, Angeline Quinto, Julia Montes and right now with leading lady Erich Gonzales.
