Nora Aunor tops the list of actress for the Best Actress trophy on her performance in Thy Womb. She played the role of a Badjao midwife who is coping with her infertility by acting as a match-maker to his husband and the one that could give him a child.
Angel Locsin on the other hand the lead actress of the movie, One More Try is also getting the Best Actress buzz for her role as Grace, a single mother who will do anything to save his ill child. Her acting performance is worthy to be named as Best Actress according to some moviegoers.
For the Best Actor category, Gov. E.R. Ejercity (Jeorge Estregan) of El Presidente, Dingdong Dantes of One More Try, Vice Ganda of Sisterakas and Enchong Dee of The Strangers are among the best bet to win the award.
As of press time the movies, Sisterakas, Si Agimat Si Enteng Kabisote at Si Ako, and One More Try were the top three movies that dominated the box office sales of the 2012 MMFF.
