De Lima Admits Closeness To Driver-Body Guard
De Lima Admits Closeness – With all the allegations and comments regarding Senator Leila de Lima and his driver-bodyguard, Ronnie Dayang, the lady senator finally admits closeness with her driver during a press con, on Saturday, August 20.
De Lima lamented about the things being thrown at her, including the allegations regarding her connection with drugs and also her alleged relationship with her long-time driver-bodyguard.
During the press con, De Lima said that she won’t be discussing how ‘foul’ the things being thrown to her by the present administration and will just clear things up in the press con.
She started by saying that the personal life of everyone is sensitive and sacred. Also, De Lima added that in spite of the things that happened in her personal life, she is making sure that it won’t affect her duties and responsibilities even before.
But because of the issues pursuing her, De Lima said that she needs to “speak a little” about them even though it burdens her.
De Lima narrates that the certain Ronnie Dayang, who’s being linked to her, was her driver-bodyguard for a long time since her private practice as lawyer.
“Yan pong sinasabi nilang si Ronnie Dayang, dati ko po talaga yan na driver-bodyguard or bodyguard-driver mula pa ‘ho noong ako ay private practitioner. In other words, bago po ako pumasok sa gobyerno.”
The lady Senator then admitted that Dayang became “close” to her but didn’t reveal how “close” they were. She even asked forgiveness to the media as she doesn’t want to tackle more about the issue for now.
“Napalapit po sya sa akin, pero kung gaano man ‘ho kalapit sya sa akin, ipagpaumanhin nyo po, hindi ko na muna po pwedeng…I don’t want to touch on that muna po kasi personal na po na bagay na ‘yan and again, ayaw kong malilihis po itong usapin natin sa mga personal na bagay.”
De Lima pointed out that Dayang is not already working for her as according to De Lima, Dayang resigned early last year, 2015. But, she admitted that they still have communication.
Another thing that De Lima added is that Dayang told her that there are people looking after her and that is currently hiding from them. De Lima said that Dayang is asking for help.
The lady senator didn’t mention who are the people looking after Dayang.
