One of the actresses in the Philippine showbiz industry who has a foreign descent is Kapuso Primetime Queen Marian Rivera. She is Spanish-Filipino and is one of the most beautiful faces in the entertainment industry.
Marian Rivera‘s parents are Francisco Javier Gracia Alonso, a Spaniard, and a Filipina from Cavite, Amalia Rivera. She was born in Madrid, Spain on August 12, 1984. Her mother and father got married.
However, when she was three (3) years old, Marian Rivera‘s parents separated. Her mother brought her to the Philippines but she had to leave her under the care of her grandmother, Francisca Rivera, as she had to go back abroad for work commitments.
Marian grew up in Bacoor, Cavite under the care of her Lola Francisca. She is very close to her grandmother but she also maintained wonderful relationships with both of her parents. In fact, her wedding day with Dingdong Dantes was really complete as both of her parents and her grandmother were present.
Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes now have a family of their own. The celebrity couple who met when they starred the Philippines’ adaptation of MariMar now have two (2) beautiful kids – Maria Letizia and Jose Sixto.
It was in 2014 when Dingdong and Marian officially tied the knot in a lavish wedding that was dubbed as the “Wedding of the Century” and the Philippines’ Royal Wedding. The actor stressed that he really wants to give the best wedding for his now-wife.
In November 2015, the Kapuso actress gave birth to her eldest with her husband and they named her Maria Letizia or “Zia”. Four (4) years after, she gave birth to their second baby who they named after the actor – Jose Sixto IV or “Ziggy”.
