Some of the most popular celebrities in the Philippine showbiz industry did not know the success that awaits them in the field until they hurdled the challenges and made their way to the spotlight. One of them is actress-singer Angeline Quinto.
Angeline Quinto’s Personal Background
Born on November 26, 1989, Angeline Quinto’s real name is Angeline Ticman Quinto. She is the only daughter of Pop Quiros and Rosemarie Susan Mabao. However, the then-couple did not have a good relationship so they just decided to give their baby to Sylvia Quinto, the aunt of Pop. More popularly known as Mama Bob, she’s the one who raised Angeline in Sampaloc, Manila.
Growing up, Angeline had communications with her father who married again but had no communication with her mother. She was already 23 years old when she met her biological mother.
Angeline remained with Mama Bob. She is vocal that her hard work is for her who loved her like her very own daughter. Sadly, in 2020, Mama Bob passed away.
Angeline Quinto’s Showbiz Career
Growing up, Angeline joined several singing competitions. She lost in some of the contests she joined at but it did not stop her. She was a finalist for Star for A Night and she was the grand winner of MTB: Teen Popstar. Her biggest break that started her showbiz career is when she won as the grand winner of Star Power: Sharon’s Search for the Next Female Pop Superstar in 2011.
