Bagyong Hanna (Soudelor) Typhoon Signals & Hourly Updates (August 7, 2015)

The country’s weather bureau, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) reminded all Filipinos that Signal No. 2 remained hoisted over Batanes including Itbayat and Signal No. 1, over Calayan and Babuyan group of Islands. According to the latest weather bulletin of PAGASA, as of 9:00 today (Friday, August 7), Bagyong Hanna was located at 410 km East Northeast of Itbayat, Batanes.

PAGASA noted that Bagyong Hanna was still packing maximum sustained winds of 165 kilometers per hour near the center and gusts of up to 200 kph.

The latest weather disturbance moved northwest at 20 kph and it is expected to exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility by Sunday morning.

Bagyong Hanna will cause stormy weather with rough to very rough seas which will prevail over the Batanes group of islands. The southwest moonsson, will also prevail over Southern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.

Monsoon rains, which may trigger flashfloods and landslides, will be experienced over Western Visayas and the provinces of Mindoro and Palawan. Pagasa warned fishermen not to venture out in the northern and eastern seaboards of Luzon, southern seaboard of Southern Luzon and seaboards of Palawan, Visayas and Mindanao.
