A viral video is currently circulating online featuring the performance of our very own divers, John David Pahoyo and John Elmerson Fabriga who represented the country in the diving event of the Southeast Asian Games. Both divers failed to get a score from all the judges because of their failure to performed well in the competition.

Although the two Filipino athletes failed to deliver and showcase their best talent in the competition, the video above just showed how we, the Filipinos are ill-prepared for international competition.
This video should be a wake up call for the Philippine Diving Team to strive for more and prepare for international competition, and the need of the delegation to get the much needed support from the national government and other sponsors.
We should not focus only in boxing, billiards or basketball for our national team to compete against the best athletes in the Southeast Asia.
The Malaysians dominated the diving event garnering 8 gold medals and 3 silver medals while the host country Singapore got 3 silver medals and 4 bronze.
Overall, the Philippines is currently ranked at the sixth spot in medal tally with 22 gold, 23 silver and 36 bronze medals as of June 11, 2015 at around 12:31 PM.
