Carla Abellana Speaks on Divorce w/ Tom Rodriguez
CARLA ABELLANA – The Kapuso actress revealed her real side on the move of her ex-husband, Tom Rodriguez, to file a divorce decreee in the United States (U.S.).
Kapuso stars Tom Rodriguez and Carla Abellana were together for more than five (5) years already before they decided to officially tie the knot last October 23, 2021. It was amid the pandemic when he asked for her hand in marriage. They lived together under the same roof during the pandemic.
However, countless people were surprised when rumors that the two (2) celebrities have separated crossed the surface just three months after their wedding. Shortly after the rumors circulated, Tom confirmed that they have separated. He was already in U.S. when he made the confirmation.
In his confirmation, Tom expressed that the divorce decree is final. Recently, Carla appeared on Fast Talk with Boy Abunda where she was asked about the decree filed by her former husband abroad.
Carla Abellana expressed that it is Tom Rodriguez’s right to file a divorce decree in the United States and it is an option for him being an American citizen. The Kapuso actress that she and her camp are happy for the move as they no longer need to bring out their hurt and expose each other’s dirty laundry to nullify their marriage.
According to Carla, they have received the decree as well as the other documents and requirements and they have already filed for a petition of the recognition of the foreign judgment. The actress affirmed that if the Philippine courts will recognize it, it is the end of story for their marriage and they both return to their single status. Here’s the video posted on YouTube:
