Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte wants Batangas Governor Vilma Santos as his possible running mate as Vice President once he decide to run for President in the coming 2016 Presidential Elections. The choice of Mayor Duterte’s “dream team” was revealed by his staunch supporter and former North Cotabato Governor Emmanuel Piñol.
According to former governor of North Cotabato, the feisty mayor talked for the first time about the possibility of running in 2016 and his who his dream running mate would be.
Mayor Duterte noted that Senator Grace Poe could not be his running mate because he thinks the first-time senator would run for President. The Mayor of Davao City said that Batangas Governor Vilma Santos would be a good choice because she did not only have star power but was also an outstanding government official.
Former Gov. Piñol said he asked the mayor about the composition of his Cabinet if he won the presidency. Mayor Duterte answered that he will name Gilbert Teodoro for the Defense Department because “he is brilliant.”

Aside from naming the possible composition of Mayor Rodrigo Duterte’s Cabinet members, the Davao City Mayor also wowed the crowd of some 10,000 people when he said that if he had his way, he would spare those earning P25,000 and less from paying income taxes and will would seek to increase the take-home pay of teachers.
