ABS-CBN Exec Furiously Reacts to Bashers Criticizing Darna as “Flop”
An ABS-CBN executive furiously slammed bashers who are criticizing the superhero series “Darna” and calling it a flop.
Julia Anne R. Benitez, the current Business Unit Head of ABS-CBN Corporation, has had enough of the backlash directed at their show Darna. Benitez responded to some of Darna’s social media criticisms.
Benitez said in her statement that she was pleased with the tireless individuals behind Darna and apologized to those perfectionist netizens who constantly criticized the series.
She even asked critics to stop watching Darna if they were dissatisfied with the show. She also responded to netizens who accused them of not allocating enough funds to the graphics arts team in charge of the show’s CGI. Benitez then claimed that Darna is getting positive feedback on the internet.
“Yes, pinagmamalaki ko ang Darna. Pinaghirapan ng buong Team ang bawat ep na napapanood and I am very proud of my Team. Pasensya na, hindi kami perfect kagaya mo. 2023 na, sana maging happy ka. Kung puro pangit ang nakikita mo sa Darna, wag mo panoorin. Ganun kasimple.” said Benitez in her tweet.
“At isa pa nga pala, maganda ang ratings ng Darna, trending araw araw (salamat sa supporters), 2.2B views sa Tiktok, at napakataas again, napakataas ng views sa YT.” she added.
Some internet users responded to Benitez’s tweets by arguing that the executive should take criticism. It should be noted that Darna has received criticism from television viewers for its plot and CGI.
