Senator Grace Poe said during an exclusive interview with Inquirer that she was “humbled” by the recent Social Weather Station (SWS) survey results which ranked her at the No. 2 spot of possible successor to Pres. Aquino. The first-time Senator ranked second to Vice President Jejomar Binay as the Filipino’s top choice for President in 2016.
Based upon the latest SWS survey results which was conducted from March 20 to 23, Sen. Grace Poe got 31%, a big increas on her previous 21% ratings as possible presidentiable for the year 2016. The Senator’s rating was a five-percentage point away from VP Binay’s 36% ratings.
In an interview with the media, Sen. Grace Poe was quoted as saying “I am humbled by the results of the survey. I view it as a positive appreciation and validation by a good number of our countrymen of my work within and prior to the survey period,” Poe said in a statement on Thursday.
The 46-year-old Senator added further that the results inspire her to do her job as a senator. She stated that “It inspires me that our people approve of what I have been doing and I will continue to do what I think is right and for the best interest of our countrymen” she said.
