The Department of Education (DedEd) released the official School Calendar for School Year 2015-2016 which states that opening of cl(–foul word(s) removed–) will start as early as June 1, 2015. Based upon DepEd Order No. 9, series of 2015, the official opening of cl(–foul word(s) removed–) for AY 2015-2016 will be on Monday, June 1, 2015 while the last day of cl(–foul word(s) removed–) shall be on Friday, April 1, 2016.
DepEd Secretary Armin Luistro made a press release stating that “The School Calendar for School Year (SY) 2015-2016 shows the school events and activities for the said SY. The core events and activities for this SY, which represent the actual teaching-learning days, shall be strictly observed in all schools,” the DepEd Secretary said.
According to the DepEd memorandum, the next School Year will consist of 201 school days, inclusive of the five-day In-Service Training (INSET) break. The parent-teacher conferences shall be held on the second or third Saturday after every quarterly examination.
The Department of Education also noted that the Christmas break, one of the most special holidays in the country shall begin on Saturday, December 19, 2015, and cl(–foul word(s) removed–) shall resume on Monday, January 4, 2016.
According to DepEd all summer cl(–foul word(s) removed–) shall begin on Monday, April 11, 2016 and end on Saturday, May 21, 2016 which is the last day of the final examination.
DepEd also noted that in preparation for the opening of cl(–foul word(s) removed–) for SY 2016-2017, all schools across the country shall conduct the following activities: early registration on Saturday, January 30, 2016 and Brigada Eskwela from may 16-21, 2016.
