Former US President Bill Clinton Currently amid a COVID-19 Bout
Former US President Bill Clinton, 76 years old, announced that he tested positive for COVID-19 but with mild symptoms.
The COVID-19 pandemic is not over. Previously, the World Health Organization (WHO) stressed that the world is in a better state against the pandemic but it is not over somewhere if it is not over everywhere.
New variants and subvariants of coronavirus continue to emerge and infect the people. WHO expressed an encouragement to countries to take the opportunity of the good situation to boost the fight against the pandemic. Nations continue to encourage the public to get vaccinated.
Vaccination is also the call of former US President Bill Clinton to the public after he tested positive for COVID-19. Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, the 76-year-old President has mild symptoms.
According to Clinton, he is “doing fine overall” and he is thankful to have been vaccinated and boosted against COVID-19 which he believes have helped kept his case mild. The former US President further said that he is just at home keeping himself busy. He encourage everyone to get vaccinated most especially that winter months are coming.
Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, former US President Bill Clinton has faced several health challenges in the previous years. In 2004, he had a quadruple bypass operation after doctors diagnosed an extensive heart disease on the then Chief Executive of U.S.
Clinton served as the United States President from 1993 to 2001. In 2010, he had stents implanted in his coronary artery. In October last year, he was confined in a hospital in California for five (5) nights due to a blood infection. He walked arm in arm with his wife, former secretary of state Hillary Clinton as he left the hospital.
