Lyca Gairanod, the first-ever winner of The Voice of the Philippines Kids edition has been chosen to perform during the special meeting of Pope Francis with the families this coming Friday at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City. The 10-year-old singing champion will take the stage with “Tell the World of His Love,” as chosen families from various parts of the Philippines will take part in a rare gathering with the Pope.

The music “Tell the World of His Love” was the theme song of the 1995 World Youth Day, which was presided by the former Pope and current Saint John Paul II in Manila.
During an interview with ABS-CBN, Lyca Gairanod performed a part of the song by composer Trina Belamide, the original music was previously heard by more than 5 million attendees of the World Youth Day 1995, during the festival’s culminating mass at Luneta Park.
Lyca Gairanod also noted that she struggles with English songs, but said that she has undergoing lessons to perfect her pronunciation of the lyrics of “Tell the World of His Love.”
The supreme pontiff of the world’s largest religious group, Pope Francis of the Roman Catholic Church is scheduled to visit the Philippines this coming January 15 up to 19, 2015 and one of his itinerary is a meeting of family gatherings to be held in Manila on Friday.
The former scavenger-turned-singer, Lyca Gairanod also stated that she dream of meeting Pope Francs and if allowed, she hopes to take selfie with the Pope, when she meets him on January 16.
