Six TOYM Awardees for 2014 Revealed by JCI Philippines

The Six Top Outstanding Young Men and Women (TOYM) of the Philippines awardees was already revealed by the organizers on Monday night, featuringa business reporter, a lawyer, two mayors, an agricultural engineer and a doctor. The organizers Junior Chamber International (JCI) Philippines revealed to the media the elite list of TOYM for 2014.

In an official statement released by JCI they noted that all six TOYM awardees “are true models of exceptional young Filipinos worth emulation by the young generation and the nation in general,” the JCI Philippines said in a statement.

Aside from JCI Philippines, the TOYM Foundation and the Gerry Roxas Foundation are the organizations behind the selection team that was in charge for the search of the country’s best and brightest people, ages 40 and below.

The TOYM honorees were led by Inquirer’s veteran business reporter Ma. Doris Dumlao was recognized for her work in the field of journalism. Dumlao served as Inquirer busines section’s most senior reporter and already recognized for her journalism both here and abroad.

Aside from Ma. Doris Dumlao, also recognized were Biñan City Mayor Marlyn B. Alonte-Naguiat for government and public service; Jessie Pascual P. Bitog for agricultural engineering; Liloan, Cebu, Mayor Vincent Franco D. Frasco for public administration; Dr. John Mark S. Velasco for medical science and public health; and Oscar Franklin B. Tan for the field of law.
