The kapamilya singer Jed Madela denied that he has been kicked out from the ABS-CBN’s Sunday variety show “ASAP 19” after he was not seen performing in the previous episodes.
In an interview with entertainment portal PEP, the 2005 World Championship of the Performing Arts (WCOPA) winner explained why he did not perform on Lani Misalucha’s concert and during the Christmas Special of ABS-CBN.
“Nagkaroon ako ng acute laryngitis at hanggang ngayon, bawal akong kumanta… Sorang nakakatakot siyang experience, kasi ano siya, one of the most dangerous things that could happen to a singer. Kasi laryngitis is the acute inflammation of the throat, of the vocal cords,” he said.
The 37-year-old also said that it started after the Aliw Wards held on December 1, 2014. After that, he had a total voice rest for two weeks so his upcoming shows and corporate events were cancelled.
Jed Madela clarified also that he was not kicked out from “ASAP 19” after he was rumored calling his co-workers “bunch of monkeys” on his Twitter account. According to him, everything is well between him and the management.
“Wow, ang daming kuwento! Sabi ko, idi-deal ko na lang ‘yan pagbalik ko. Once and for all, iki-clear ko na wala talaga kaming issue ng ASAP, as in we’re very okay. It’s just a misunderstanding, yung mga tao lang na nag-assume at gumawa ng kuwento,” he said.
Jed Madela said that his Twitter post was not meant for his co-stars, adding that he is now being careful and sensitive for posting his thoughts in any social networking sites.
