Martin Del Rosario Draws Flak Online After Wearing Jeffrey Dahmer-Inspired Costume
MARTIN DEL ROSARIO – Kapuso actor Martin Del Rosario didn’t expect the backlash he received from netizens after channeling the look of serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer.
Martin Miguel Mangay del Rosario is a Filipino actor and model who is known for his portrayal of Nico in the 2016 film Ang Manananggal sa Unit 23B and Norberto Matias in the 2011 tv series Minsan Lang Kita Iibigin.
Recently, the Halloween costume of the Kapuso actor drew criticism from netizens. This is after he impersonated American serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer who killed 17 men between 1978 and 1991.
This October 31, Martin del Rosario shared his “Dahmer-inspired” photo on Instagram. The post was immediately flooded with comments from netizens. They called Martin’s costume “insensitive,”, especially for those left behind by the victims.

The 29-year-old celebrity apologized and said that it was “nothing intentional.” He posted it on his Instagram Story on November 1, 2022.
“I sincerely apologize if I offended some of you with my Halloween costume.
“I did not intend to create buzz for my personal gain nor exude that attitude of indifference towards the victims of the character I wore.
“My intention was to celebrate Halloween in a simple costume during an intimate party with family.
“If I have hurt anybody or have become insensitive, I sincerely apologize.
“Please trust that it was nothing intentional.
“It was just for the spirit of Halloween.
“Happy All Saints Day!”
Dahmer killed an estimated 17 men in gruesome ways, such as dismembering the victims’ bodies. He also admitted that he ate parts of his victims’ bodies.
His crimes happened at different times from 1978 to 1991. Dahmer died in 1994 in a violent manner at the hands of a fellow inmate. Dahmer’s story is also being told in a new series on Netflix.
