Theater actor and “Rak of Aegis” singer Poppert Bernadas performed a duet with The Voice of the Philippines Kids Edition winner Lyca Gairanod during the Sunday’s edition of the country’s top rating and top trending show on national TV, the second season of The Voice of the Philippines. Poppert Bernadas became the seventh elite member of the show’s four-chair turner.

The 27-year-old Poppert Bernadas made a successful debut on The Voice Philippines as he chooses Team Sarah for his journey in the country’s most popular singing competition.
But before the theater actor decided to go for Team Sarah, he was asked by Coach Lea Salonga to performed a duet with the former winner of The Voice of the Philippines, Lyca Gairanod. The duo sang the popular Aegis song “Basang Basa Sa Ulan.”
According to Poppert Bernadas, he was inspired to join the singing competition because his mother, who is undergoing a dialysis wished for it. He was immediately recognized by the show’s coaches particularly Coach Lea and Coach Sarah right after they both turned around for him.
Coach Lea Salonga noted that Poppert was part of the musical “Rak of Aegist” which features stories using the composition of the popular rock band Aegis. The veteran theater actress added further that the musical is considered the best musical she had ever seen in the Philippines.
