Barbie Forteza shared this experience during taping for her latest series
Kapuso actress Barbie Forteza recalled the calamities they experienced while shooting for the new series Maria Clara at Ibarra.
Barbie is one of the cast members of the historical portal fantasy series that features the tandem of Dennis Trillo and Julie Anne San Jose. While they were in lock-in taping, they encountered challenges.
In a recent interview, based on the article in GMA Entertainment, Barbie shared that making this series was a challenge for the cast, as well as the people behind the production. They need to assure that everything is authentic as it has a touch of history. It is because they wanted to be accurate in presenting a certain period in the history of the Philippines.
Aside from this, the cast and crew of Maria Clara at Ibarra also went through the challenges brought by the nature. They were shooting in Ilocos when a typhoon entered the Philippine area of responsibility.
“Nagsisimula na ang bagyo nang nasa Ilocos kami nito. Medyo na signal number three kami doon,” Barbie Forteza shared. Dennis Trilloa added that also experienced earthquake in Ilocs while shooting.
“Madaling araw, nandoon kami sa gitna ng Calle Crisologo, mayroon kaming kukunan na mahabang eksena kaso lang biglang lumindol,” the actor shared. These kinds of unexpected happenings while filming reminded Barbie to be extra careful always.
“Kailangan maging alerto ka, maging listo ka sa lahat ng puwedeng magnyari,” she stressed. She alslo pointed out the importance of taking care of her health.
Despite those challenges, Barbie Forteza said that she is thankful that everyone on the set was able to form a bond with each other like a family. She also highlighted the teamwork that they have while shooting for the series.
