The actress Karla Estrada defended her son, the kapamilya hearththrob and actor Daniel Padilla over the alleged audio scandal which went viral over the weekend.
In the audio clip which was uploaded to YouTube, a male person, who was allegedly identified as Daniel Padilla, talked about receiving a text message from a girl who seemed to excite him.
Netizens speculated that he was referring to the kapatid actress Jasmine Curtis-Smith after he mentioned the word Sam”, the name of Jasmine’s boyfriend Sam Concepcion.
Daniel Padilla and Jasmine Curtis-Smith are currently working together in the biopic movie titled “Bonifacio: Ang Unang Pangulo”. The film is one of the entries in this year’s Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF).
Karla Estrada took the micro-blogging site Twitter and wrote that nothing can put down his son. “Isa na namang kampon ng kadiliman ang nagtangkang sirain ang anak ko. Hindi ka magtatagumpay dahil marami kaming magtatanggol,” she wrote.

Karla Estrada thanked also Daniel Padilla’s fans for supporting him throughout the issue. “Wow mga anak grabe! Bilib ako sa support at love nyo! Thank you sa inyong lahat! I love you guys! Wag hayaan magtagumpay ang salot sa lipunan!”

Meanwhile, Daniel Padilla issued also a statement regarding the issue through his official Twitter account. The 19-year-old actor wrote in a picture that he is grateful for the support of his fans and for protecting him from the people who wanted to destroy him.
