Amy Perez Responds to ‘Very Reckless’ Comment Despite Being Calm
TV host Tiyang Amy Perez responded to ‘very reckless’ comment by a netizen despite being calm during the fire occurred at ABS-CBN compound.
On Tuesday morning, a fire breaks out within the ABS-CBN compound in Quezon City. Morning programs like ANC and Teleradyo temporarily stop transmitting because of the fire.
The fire reportedly reached the first alarm before being put out at roughly 8:39 a.m., according to a report by ABS-CBN News. In separate tweets, ANC and TeleRadyo stated that the fire has forced them to momentarily halt their respective programs.
A journalist from ABS-CBN Jeff Canoy also shared on Twitter that they had to quickly end their early morning news broadcast because they had to leave after the smoke alarms in the main building went off. Canoy even shared a video showing how “calm” Amy was.
Tiyang Amy appeared to be calm and continue in giving her program spiel in spite of the perilous situation inside the compound. Many people applauded the TV and radio host for her professionalism. However, one online commenter took issue with Amy’s attempt to carry on working for Teleradyo’s “Sakto” in spite of the fire.
“Very reckless. I’m not bashing her. I’m concern(ed) with her safety,” the netizen commented.
Amy immediately explained her side. She said: “It’s not being reckless there is timing to everything and panic is not the answer. Thank you.”
