DOH Announce 2 More New Monkeypox Case in Philippines
New monkeypox case reported in the Philippines on Friday, increasing the country’s total number of confirmed cases to three.
The two new cases, a 34-year-old and a 29-year-old, both had recent travel history to a nation with confirmed virus infections, according to the Department of Health. The 29-year-old is isolated in a medical facility, while the 34-year-old is isolated at home.

Since early May, there has been an increase in cases of monkeypox outside of the endemic African nations.
According to a study by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the monkeypox outbreak has afflicted approximately 16,000 people in 72 countries.
